WineRacks.com began more than 16 years ago as The Wine Rack Company, a part-time venture by company president Michael Babcock. After helping his brother-in-law, who had just built a wine store, Michael began building custom wooden wine racks in addition to his day job in industrial construction. When big accounts from places like the Seagram Company began to pay off, he decided in 1995 that creating wine racks was better than construction. We started on the web that same year and have been selling our wooden racks all over the world.
